This Privacy Policy explains how Send to TV: File Transfer ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the App.

1. Overview

Send to TV: File Transfer is designed to transfer files directly between supported devices, such as an Android phone, tablet, or Android TV, over a local network.

We do not operate a cloud storage service for your transferred files. Files you choose to transfer are sent directly between your devices and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.

2. Information the App Accesses

The App may access the following information only as needed to provide its core functionality:

Files selected by you: The App accesses files only when you select them for sending, receiving, opening, or saving.
Local network information: The App may use local network information, including local IP addresses, device names, ports, and nearby compatible-device information, to discover devices and establish a direct connection.
Transfer information: The App may process file names, file sizes, file types, transfer progress, and device connection information in order to perform and display a transfer.

3. How Information Is Used

Information accessed by the App is used only to:

discover compatible devices on your local network;
connect your devices;
send and receive files you explicitly choose;
display transfer status, progress, errors, and history stored locally on your device;
open or save received files when requested by you.

4. File Transfers

Files are transferred directly between devices on the local network. We do not receive, inspect, copy, sell, or store the contents of your transferred files on our servers.

The person controlling the receiving device may be able to access files you send to that device. You should send files only to devices and people you trust.

5. Data Collection and Sharing

In the current version of the App, we do not require user accounts and we do not intentionally collect personal information on our servers.

We do not sell your personal information or transferred files.

6. Third-Party Services

At the time this Privacy Policy was published, the App does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

If third-party services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the relevant providers and their data practices before or when those services are introduced.

7. Permissions

Depending on your Android version and the features you use, the App may request permissions or system access required for selecting files, saving received files, discovering devices on the local network, connecting to devices, or displaying transfer-related notifications.

The App uses these permissions only for the functionality described in the App.

8. Data Retention

Because transferred files are not stored on our servers, we do not retain copies of those files. Files received by your device remain on that device until you move or delete them.

App preferences and transfer history, if enabled, may be stored locally on your device and can generally be removed by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to limit access to information to what is necessary for the App's functionality. However, no network communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Use trusted local networks and verify the receiving device before sending sensitive files.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-purpose file transfer utility and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require users to create an account or submit personal information to us in order to use its core file-transfer functionality.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's functionality, permissions, third-party services, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
